Time: 4:20 pm. Temperature: 46 degrees. Wind blowing about 5mph from the west. Partly cloudy.
Tested infrared thermometer to measure temperature of rocket exhaust at launch. Didn't work. Launched rocket with Altimeter One in body tube. Very low flight. Rocket descending as motor continued to fire. Parachute deployed, but didn't open all the way. Daniel caught it about 6 yards south-southeast of the launch site. No damage to the rocket. Altimeter One looked a little dusty; will clean up before launching again.
