Brief:
Easy to build kit with plastic nose cone, die-cut balsa fins, and 12" parachute.

Construction:

  • 1 - 9" BT-50 Body Tube
  • 1 - Plastic Nose Cone
  • 1 - 18mm Engine Tube
  • 1 - Engine Hook
  • 2 - Centering Rings
  • 1 - 18mm Engine Block
  • 3 - Balsa Fins
  • 1 - 12" Plastic Parachute
  • 1 - Elastic Shock Cord
  • 1 - 1/8" ID Launch Lug
  • 1 - Wrap Decal
  • 1 - Paper Shock Cord Mount

This kit was easy to build. The instructions were easy to follow. No special tools were needed. Just glue, a hobby knife, a ruler, pencil and angle iron. I did use a hot glue gun for the shock cord mount.

Finishing:
The finishing was simple. I just sanded, primed and painted the finished rocket. I painted it the suggested blue color.

The Zero Gravity decal wrap was easy to apply and looked great. It was good quality vinyl like a bumper sticker.

I would have given it a 5 if the Custom parachute had been pre-assembled. I guess I have been spoiled by Estes parachutes.

Construction Rating: 4 out of 5

Flight:
I flew the rocket 3 time on A8-3 motors. I highly recommend this motor size for small fields. The rocket flew straight and landed close even though the wind was blowing.

I would have tried a B6-4 if the wind was not as strong and if the field was larger.

Recovery:
The shock worked well. And dog barf worked excellent for replacing wadding. All flights were recovered close to the pad with no damage.

Flight Rating: 5 out of 5

Summary:
Overall, it is a great, simple kit to build. I would recommend this rocket if you are looking for an easy to build rocket kit that looks good and flies great.

Overall Rating: 5 out of 5
