Flight Log - 2018-08-10 - Matthew Bond's Semroc ARCAS 1/3 Scale
1/3 Scale model of the Atlantic Research Corporation ARCAS Sounding Rocket. Built as my entry into the scale contest at NARAM 60.

First Flight of my NARAM 60 Sport Scale model. For all the trouble I had building and finishing this particular rocket, at least it ended up flying well. Once it was my turn in the queue there was a slight delay while the Sport Scale judge recovered from a close encounter with a rattlesnake. After that excitement was dealt with I got a very nice straight boost off the rod, arcing into the slight breeze during the coast. Good chute deployment at apogee with minimal drift, and ZERO damage points.
