Flight Log - 2016-01-16 - Matthew Bond's Rocketarium Octagon

An 18mm saucer design with the frame built up around the central motor tube from 7 laser cut light plywood parts and the covering formed from interlocking cardstock panels.  The cardstock is plain white allowing for any possible decoration scheme.  The flight profile is low altitude, high drag, for a fun, close to the pad flight.

First flight of this cool little saucer design.  Great boost, low and slow with lots of smoke.  Slowed down and flipped over shortly after motor burnout and floated back down to earth for a nice soft landing.  Pretty cool.
