Decided to get in a couple of low power flights at the end of the day.  Nice boost for the X-20, quick and straight off the rod.  Followed the tracking smoke to ejection and kept an eye on the chute coming down.  Very slow descent with a lot of drift.  Chute appeared to land in or beyond the tall brush near the stream in the center of the field.  As I was slogging through the mud towards the spot, I discovered the body of the rocket not too far past the last of the high power pads.  The elastic portion of the shock cord had seperated just above the knot with the kevlar cord.  I continued out to the tall brush and spent a good while looking for the nose cone and chute but never found them.
