Flight Log - 2018-08-10 - Matthew Bond's Estes Orbital Interceptor
A recreation of a classic Estes kit produced from 1981-1983. Kit was built as my "backup" entry into the classic model category from NARAM 60. The parts were purchased from eRockets, including the laser cut balsa fins, body tube, nose cone and reproduced decals.

First Flight of my NARAM 60 Classic Model entry. Early in the day with little to no wind equals a perfect flight. Nice straight boost of the rod, arcing over during the coast, more or less horizontal at ejection. Good chute deployment at apogee, judges were impressed with the color coordinated Top Flite parachute (No mission points for color coordinating however...). Close recovery, zero damage points, pretty much perfect.
