Flight Log - 2011-09-06 - Matthew Bond's Estes Der Red Max
Re-released version of an Estes classic. Basic 3FNC design with the well known "Toungue in Cheek" German military styling. 18mm motor mount and an 18" parachute.

Nice boost, smooth and straight. Arcing over, still climbing a little at ejection. Nose cone seperated but the chute did not deploy from the body tube. Flutter down recovery to the lakebed. No damage to the rocket. Nomex heat shield burned through in the middle with a small burn through on the chute.
