Following on the heels of Carl's Aphelion came the James Gartrell Estes Spitfire SSI. James was kind of a night owl and he and I occasionally traded PMs deep into the night. He passed away a couple of years back after a battle with lung cancer. His flying circus went up on Ebay and I tried several times to win a rocket or two with no luck. Finally picked this one up last year. I think he'd be pleased to know someone is keeping his legacy alive in some way. Fair winds, James. As for the flight, the A8-3 got it going, but it wiggled its butt the whole way up. Long drift on the stock chute, but no damage after I lengthened the shock cord.
