Ricochet Booster

Looks fine, doesn't it?

If you were to inspect this bird really close, you'd see that the fins are not aligned vertically, making it sit akward on a table...But it flies great...over 750 feet on a C motor. Notice the black rail ends above the 'R' in Ricochet, but the other one ends below the 'C'. Oops!  Vertical placement on a fin is not very critical. The angle it extends beyond the body tube isn't so critical either.  What you really have to watch out for though is the angle...the fins need to point directly towards the nose, or you'll get extra drag slowing down the rocket as it converts some of the velocity energy into rotational torque.
