3" diameter 38mm Dual Deployment rocket. This is a sport flyer to give me something to fly 38mm motors with. The fins are 3/4" wide at the base, 1/4" wide at the tip. There is a 1/2" wide slot from tip to BT in each fin to make it whistle.
Update: It doesn't whistle so the name has been changed to Dog Whistle. This is Dog Whistle DD because it is the dual deployment version.

I heard it whistle after the motor burned out at about 800 ft. Watched until about 1200 ft and it disappeared in the haze. Heard the apogee event. No one saw anything after that. I think the main opened but no one saw it. Use the Walston and had to go to the top of a hill to get a signal. Landed 5100 ft per topo map. Walston got us there, but was 100 ft from the road to Mitchel and 150 ft from US15. Burt and I played with the cows, fought the bull, swam the creek, climbed the electric fences and survived to find the rocket!
