12-2016 Sawed off bottom of nose cone and epoxied in a 1/4" plywood cap with a screw eye. Should give me more room for packing the parachute. Supposed to deploy better too, according to forum members with frequent lawn-darts.
My first build as a "BAR." I didn't have the internet when last building rockets, which probably made things a lot easier. This rocket has filled body tube seams and papered fins - two things I never would have thought of as a child. Also I used a kevlar shock cord mounted to the engine mount. Paint and decal design was done by committee of me, my two sons and wife.
