Hoping it would windcock off the pad, but the flight path was as dead straight as you can get in 13 mph wind.  Wiggled on the way up, so some nose weight might be necessary.  Entered the clouds quickly and no one ever saw it after that.  I walked across the corn to the edge of the creek and was about to turn around when I saw a flash of neon orange on the other side.  I found a spot that looked crossable, and actually made two of the four steps necessary to cross it without getting wet, but the third rock rolled as I stepped on it and I was in up to my shins.  Yeah, my feet were cold and wet, but I got my rocket back.
