Tried to set the rod for as straight a launch as possible, but rod whip caused a flight over US 27 and the trees at that edge of the field. I was pretty cinched up, sure that I was going to tree this one on its first flight, but chute didn't fully deploy. Missed the wires and trees by ten feet and landed without damage in the 1969 batter's box.
