The RocketReviews.com Deals Finder currently shows that Amazon currently has bulk packages of 24 Estes C6-5 motors listed for $27.31 with free shipping. That’s more than $65 off the list price. Look for Amazon’s offer under “More Buying Choices.”
The catch is that Amazon is listing them as “Not in Stock.” But, they are accepting orders at the low price and promising to ship them later. So, I’m not sure if you’ll receive the motors at the low price or not. But, it’s worth a try.
9/24 UPDATE: The Amazon offer no longer appears at Amazon.com.

There have been many online reports of people having problems using Estes’s new Pro Series II igniters to light composite motors such as the new motors from Estes. Some people have even reported a 100% failure rate using the new igniters.
Others, however, have found that the new igniters work well in Estes and Aerotech composite motors. Michael Fritz, Marketing Director at Estes-Cox, responded to the reports of failure by posting:
…as I’ve stated elsewhere, we tested a huge number (thousands – all off of our E Launcher) of these before releasing them to the public…and considering our production history with our standard igniters, we have a pretty good handle on how to make them and make them work. I know this will sound very CYA, but we have been using them with the PSII composite motors here at the rocket ranch, launched off our E Pad (and new PSII pad) with the

A seller on eBay is currently offering an Estes Pro Series “bundle” which includes the Impulse, Maxi Force, Patriot, Terrier/Sandhawk, and Jay Hawk Pro Series kits along with the Command Control Launch Controller and the Power Plex Pad.
The RocketReviews.com Deal Finder this morning is showing the Estes D-Region Tomahawk Model Rocket Kit at more than 40% off the list price at Amazon.com. And, shipping is free if you are an Amazon Prime member.
I’ve added a “Deals” option under the RocketReviews.com Features menu.
About a month ago, Amazon.com listed the Estes Saturn V kit for $35 – a discount of almost 65% off the kit’s list price. The highly-discounted price didn’t last long, but many were still able to take advantage of it.
That got me thinking … and I came up with an automated way to monitor Amazon.com’s rocketry products to look for deals like the one on the Saturn V kit.
The ”Deals” feature lists rocketry-related products at Amazon.com which are discounted at least 25% off the MSRP or list price. The list is updated frequently because prices at Amazon.com can change at any time.
As I write this, the ”Deals” feature shows that one vendor at Amazon.com is offering Estes Big Bertha kits at $9.50 – over 60% off the list price – even adding the shipping cost, it’s still a good deal. It’s not

I recently added many new Rocketry Kit Instruction Manuals to the Rocketry Plans and Instructions database of RocketReviews.com. Included are about a dozen direct links to PDF scans of some Estes model rocket kit instruction manuals that I have not seen posted on any other rocketry web sites.
If you are aware of any instruction manuals for rocketry products that are available for download from the internet and are not already listed in the RocketReviews.com database, please use the Submit a Plan or Instructions option displayed at the bottom of plans and instructions pages. You will be asked for the title of the plan or instructions, a description, and the URL to the plan or instruction manual. Enter at least the URL (the Title and Description are optional) then click the Submit button.
Please enter the URL of the page on which you found the link to the plan or manual, not a direct link
