FlightLogs Web Service – GetRocketFlightAttributes Method

Each flight in a user’s Flight Log has a list of attributes describing the flight. To get a list of the attributes a flight can have, call the GetRocketFlightAttributes method.

GetRocketFlightAttributes Input AppID (string) – Your Application’s ID Email (string) – The Email address of the user Token (string) – Access Token Output Attributes (array) – An array describing the attributes a flight can have

Each element in the returned array contains metadata describing an attribute:

AttributeID (int) – A unique ID for the attribute AttributeName (string) – The name of the attribute AttributeType (string) – The type of the attribute UnitsShort (string) – An abbreviation of the units for the attribute UnitsLong (string) – The units for the attribute Choices (string) – A list of valid values for the attribute (bar

FlightLogs Web Service – GetProducts Method

Call the GetProdcuts method to get a list of the products produced by the specified Manufacturer.

GetProducts Input AppID (string) – Your Application’s ID Email (string) – The Email address of the user Token (string) – Access Token Manufacturer (string) – The name of a manufacturer Output Products (array) – an array of products by the manufacturer

The GetProducts method returns an array of structures. Each structure has a ProductID (int) and a ProductName (string) element.

Use the GetManufacturer and GetProducts methods when prompting the user to create a new Rocket. You can use these methods to populate the Manufacturer and KitName attributes of the Rocket if the rocket is one built from a kit.

Call the GetFlights method returns flights from the user’s Flight Log which where flown in the specified date range.

Call the SetRocketFlightValues method to update or add attribute values for a flight in the user’s Flight Log.

SetRocketFlightValues Input AppID (string) – Your Application’s ID Email (string) – The Email address of the user Token (string) – Access Token FlightID (int) – The flight’s ID NameValues (array) – Attribute values for the flight Output Success (boolean) – True if the update was successful

The SetRocketFlightValues method updates the attribute values for the specified flight. The FlightID is the value returned from an AddRocketFlight, GetRocketFlights, or GetFlights method call.

The NameValues array is an array of structures each with a Name and a Value element. Set the Name element to the name of a flight attribute (as returned by the GetFlightAttributes method) and the Value element to an appropriate value for the

Call the AddRocketFlight method to add a flight to the user’s Flight Log.

AddRocketFlight Input AppID (string) – Your Application’s ID Email (string) – The Email address of the user Token (string) – Access Token RocketID (int) – The rocket’s ID FlightTime (date) – The date of the flight NameValues (array) – Attribute values for the flight Output FlightID (int) – The ID of the flight

The AddRocketFlight method adds a flight to the user’s Flight Log.

The RocketID is the ID of the rocket flown. Use the GetRockets method to get the IDs of the user’s rocket and the AddRocket method to create a new rocket and get its ID.

The FlightTime is the date of the flight.

FlightLogs WebService – DeleteRocket Method

Call the DeleteRocket method to delete the specified rocket from the user’s Rocket Gallery.

DeleteRocket Input AppID (string) – Your Application’s ID Email (string) – The Email address of the user Token (string) – Access Token RocketID (int) – The rocket’s ID Output Success (boolean) – True if the rocket was deleted

The DeleteRocket method deletes the specified rocket from the user’s Rocket Gallery. This action is not reversible.

Any flights associated with the rocket will become “unassigned.”

Through the RocketReviews.com web site, the user can delete the unassigned flights or assign them to other rockets.

Call the SetRocketValues method to set/update the values of the attributes for the specified rocket.

SetRocketValues Input AppID (string) – Your Application’s ID Email (string) – The Email address of the user Token (string) – Access Token RocketID (int) – The rocket’s ID NameValues (array) – An array of Name/Value pairs Output Success (boolean) – True if successful

The SetRocketValues method updates the values of the rocket’s attributes.

Populate the NameValues array with structures containing the Name and Value of each attribute to set or update. To delete an attribute value, set the Value element to an empty string.

You do not have to specify values for every attribute. The values of attributes not appearing in the NameValues list will not be changed.

FlightLogs Web Service – GetRocket Method

To retrieve the RocketID of an existing rocket, call the GetRocket method.

GetRocket Input AppID (string) – Your Application’s ID Email (string) – The Email address of the user Token (string) – Access Token RocketName (string) – The Rocket’s Name Output RocketID (int) – The rocket’s ID

If a rocket with the specified name exists in the user’s Rocket Gallery, the RocketID of the rocket is returned. Otherwise a value of 0 (zero) is returned.
